looking for external door
As above, I am looking for an external timber door, I want one that has a security screen in the frame of the door down the middle/centre.
This type of door you can leave the centre part open to let breeze in but remain secure.
Would any one know where on can be bought?
cheers Shane.

Steel Trends used to do them as custom units in Melbourne some years ago but are now out of business.
The system was a laminated glass panel framed with timber (about 40 x 60mm styles and 40 x 80mm rails), rebated and hinged into a much more substantial outer frame (typically 40 x 100mm styles, 150 top rail and 250 to 300mm lower rail). The opening panel was protected by SS mesh or coal wire, and had a substantial grille generally 25 x 5 mirror polished stainless but some were done in powder coated mild bar or sandblasted or brushed SS.
Typical price was about $1500 to $1700 before fitting nine years ago. There used to be web site for them but is has come down after the business closed and I haven't found it archived anywhere.
You should be able to get the door assembly made at a custom joinery, and there should be businesses around who can make and finish the grille section. Ours were 40mm thick, 45 in the larger sizes, to allow enough timber to support the lam glass panel and rebates. There was a silicon rubber weatherproofing seal in the rebate section to seal the internal door openning while it was closed.
