Looking for someone with a Wide thicknesser / drum sander / belt sander In Adelaide?
Gday everyone
Im in a bit of a pickle.
Any one in Adleiade know of a business or private person who owns
A Wide thicknesser / drum sander / belt sander In Adelaide?
Needs to be able to put a bench through that is just over 800mmm wide.
I have three benches that are 600mm wide and one that is 800mm wide.
It is Jarrah that has been already denailed, metal detected and was already planed all round on another thicknesser. It has since been biscuit joined together.
I desperately need to get it done. willing to travel and obviously willing to pay and assist with the process.
Regards
Allan

I had a similar problem here. My solution was to call a few cabinet shops in the area.
The magic question was, I have a desk top that needs to go through a wide belt sander. Do you know of someone that would rent time on their belt sander? Kind of stress that you're not in competition with them. Here it is $40 per half hour and a half hour minimum. Also an operator is included in the price. There is a caveat that if the belt hit a nail or metal, you bought the belt.
If you have to make more than one phone call I would be surprised.

Not too many people will risk expensive blades on unknown material.

Clear out. I looked into transport and i think it will cost me too much to get it to SA and i have found a business with lacey sander nearby that will sand them for me. So i will have to pass. Thankyou for the offer anyway .
