Default Looking for this woodworking apron.

    Hi All,

Hoping someone may know where I can get one of these. It is an Ergodyne Arsenal® 5700 16-Pocket Apron. Sells in the US for $20 but so far I haven't been able to get one due to either huge shipping costs or problems with payment ie Wire Transfer etc. Yes, I've run it through Google and Ebay.

The apron only weighs in at one pound by the way.

Manufacturer says that it may be available in Oz next year but not sure.

    Any assistance greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Toby

I want one!!! I imagine you could probably make one yourself if you were handy with a sewing machine (or knew someone who was). As long as the machine could take heavier weight fabrics, that is ...

This lot seem to provide international shipping, and they are only charging $17.50 for it at present.

    16-Pocket Apron, Cotton Duck - Ergodyne Arsenal - Mfg# 5700

They also accept all major credit cards. Hmmmmm, now i wonder if I can justify buying myself one for Christmas?

Thanks for the fast reply Black Cat. I have contacted this company. Shipping isn't too bad at US$28 but they require the wire transfer (for internationally sales) which is another AU$30. That killed it for me.

Amazon also have them but they don't ship internationally.

Amazon are selective on just what they will ship internationally.
The thing about that that annoys me is you don't find this out until you have almost completed the checkout process

How utterly ridiculous to require a wire transfer on a creditcard purchase!!! I would be so annoyed if I were asked to do that I would take my business elsewhere, as you have done also. I still reckon you could make one pretty easily if you can get your hands on a decent sewing machine ...

I have purchased "won't ship outside USA" items via Price USA in the past. Do your research online to find the best deal, place order online providing as much info as possible. Caroline will give you a confirmed total price within 24 hours, if your happy, email acceptance and transfer funds locally. You are advised when the goods are purchased and arrive at the US shipping agent, tracking no etc. If you wish you can order from different suppliers and consolidate order for shipping to OZ.

Modest service charges apply, but for what ou want would be a lot less than $30 wire transfer charge. I found them to offer a very good and transparent service, only downside is that you pay for shipping within US and Internationally. However some suppliers like Woodcraft offer free shipping within USA
