...yeh, maybe he already has. Maybe he just couldn't be bothered taking the photos anymore. Understandable. It can be quite interruptive trying to keep focus on your work and remember to take timely photos.

Back from my long smoko
Pic -1 Shows the seat being carved out using the Arbortech and Festool 150/3
Pic - 2 Shows the underside of the seat getting ready to carve the small V
Pic - 3 Shows the V carved ready for smooth sanding.
Pic - 4 Shows the seat on a milk crate, so i can sit on it and feel for lumps and uneveness to sand/scrape out.

Dry fit.
Note the bottom rail has been fitted.
Everything fits nice, so now its only the final glue up to take place.

Finished, but not the best pic as it dosnt show the true color.

Great thread to follow Lignum, and an excellent end result
Did you use the festo 150/3 for the final smoothing of the scooped seat? if so, did you need to change the base pad to one more softer, to follow the scoop better?
