    Default Low Profile Flooring

    I'm currently trying to find some Tassie Oak floorboards with the OLD style tongue and groove with a thickness of about 13mm.
    Does anyone know a supplier in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne ?
    Or would it be easier to machine them up my self ?

    PS what are the grooves or shallow channels for, on the underside of the floorboard (air circulation ?)

    Haven't seen that profile for some time. Looks like a DIY job.
    The groove on the underside of the board is to increase surface area and a change of plane or surface direction. This assists with warping control.
    Aint woodwork complicated?

    RUSTYNAIL you are correct its going to be a DIY job but with a twist
    I purchased a small length of current flooring and have modified it on the table saw and buzzer and it fits a treat. I have a template for each different cut to save time and SWMBO is impressed and now knows why boys MUST have the appropriate tools in the shed
