I love work. I can watch others doing it for hours at a time.

Why not creators and purveyors of cellulose structures in combination with phenolic and other organic compounds?

Sounds interllectual enough. I think so.

I'm pretty sure you can't say that Al.

Bloody funny though, I must remember it for next time.

    Nup! no way!! never!!!!

First off & primarily....... TOO AMERICAN!!!!

If Sam Maloof & James Krenov can call themselves simple woodworkers then that's good enough for me.

Both those mentioned have work that spans the vast majority of woodwork & timber collection.

There's heaps of woodworking magazines ot there.
Haven't seen even one lumberworking mag though.

    Challenge to Greg.
Get all the Mags to replace the term "wood" with "lumber" and then just maybe we could consider a name change.

    Greg,
Get a life. We have enough political correctness in our lives to give us the heebie jeebies. One must "work" wood in order to get an outcome such as a piece of furniture. If one works lumber the result will be logs. Logs are destined to be the raw material of the woodworker. Therefore woodworker /ing will dominate. Shove that up your knothole.

    Thumbs down

Either you enjoy causing a stir or brain dead

    Lets try another change:

    'I'm a timberjill and I'm KO....'

A spade is a spade so call it a spade.

Whether its planks, burls, veneers whatever, its still wood.

Work is simply the outcome when energy is transfered to a body, usually in the form of movement.

So Woodwork Forums fits perfectly IMHO.

    Default Regarding TD

A little tongue in the cheek shouldn't affect anyone, but apparently some can't stand any cheek at all.
