Default Need a Mallee Root for a table leg

I had a stall at a market on the weekend and I had a passer by looking for a Mallee Root to use as a leg, with a redgum slab for a coffee table. (saw one I had for sale)

I dont have one spare and dont want to go to Echucre to get them one so I was wondering if anyone in the Geelong or Melbourne areas had one for sale or knew anyone who had one.

The one I had has a footprint of about 400mm and stands just over 450mm high, customer was after something in that size or slightly smaller.

Rowan .... perhaps try Nullarbor Forest Timber Industries. They have a few boxes of burls and oddities so there may be one in there. Just behind Rays Shed, down towards the water a few building in Moolap from memory.

Another option... ring around Garden Supplies in your area and ask whether they carry 'em as firewood.

If they do, ask if they can supply one of the size you want. We used to run a business sending a tipper & dog to SA just to keep the GS's in stock. Some wanted us to split 'em down, while others would cut 'em up themselves... and all would sell larger roots as garden features if asked.

It has been a few years (about 20!) but I doubt things have changed that much.
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.
