Mammoth Burl Bowl
Got to meet Shane Wolf (a mate of Brendan's) at the Lakes entrance foreshore market last weekend.
Was lucky enough to be invited up to see his stuff.
Was luckier in a one on one on how to power carve a burl bowl.
Got most done in one morning and I've only given it one coat of laquer so far, need a few more to fill the cracks a bit. Havn't done the back yet either.
Anyway, I enjoyed it and will add it to my bow of things I do with timber.
By the way its called a mammoth bowl because it looks like a mammoth. Big and wooly...
Its 2 feet long and a foot wide.
