Breadbox - Sandwich station - thingy!
This was an idea that came through the haze several years ago but I only got to put it together recently for our woodworkers group challenge. All we got was three pine boards, 17x190x900 which turned out to be just enough for the project. It wasn't going to win me any prizes but it would get it out of the idea box and make room for some other useless, random thoughts
All was going well until just before the finish went on, 16hrs to the deadline - decided the picture (first attempt at pyrography) needed a border - - - - and you can see what happened Ah well - I was never cut out for flatwork anyway
Splined mitre corners. Floating ply floor.
Top screwed and plugged - was going to put a fence around the top for condiments but ran out of time. Knife holder is reversible for molly-dookers like me
Clingwrap holder lid is a half circle made from 4 staves glued up and rounded inside and out on a spindle wrapped with sandpaper and mounted in the lathe - this was the only time a lathe was used in the construction
Thunkner cut the hinges out with his CNC and we didn't realise he'd drawn the radius off the wrong point until they were both cut out but they still look like they were meant to be there anyway
The gap between the body and the cutter is a bit narrow for your fingers but I wanted the whole thing to fit within a standard 600mm bench so I had to do a lot of number shuffling to get there - it still works OK anyway.

Kewl! I love the way you incorporated the dispenser... I really must get around to trying to make one of those for myself.
