    Default Masters Hardware, How good!

Yesterday I bought a Bessey Band Clamp like the one pictured below at Master's in Preston for the princely sum of $39.57. I thought the price was good.
    Carbatec: $55.00
    Sydney Tools: $90.00

Master's Preston is the best thing since sliced bread for me. They stock titebond glue at reasonable prices, Organoil HBO at a competitive price and a plethora of other quality items.
The number of trips I have to make down to Springvale has diminished markedly. Master's is a 10 minute drive away!! Woo Hoo!!
Now if they only sold Festool!

Seems a pretty good place, and a definite oppo for the big green one. Unfortunately, I doubt that there is ever any likelyhood of a Masters being within 100 km of here.

Yep, they're definitely competitive with stock holdings close to the woodworkers heart, a better alternative than the big B who mainly cater to the home handyman. Their range of power-tools are disappointing though, mostly cheap plastic carp.

Big B barely cater to the home DIY handyman sometimes. Continual deletions, not to replaced, like #4 x 12mm brass plated screws, 25x19 brass plated butt hinges, timber finished excep Feast Watson or Cabots; just to name a few. Sure, all can be gotten on special order, but at a price!

I cannot wait, I have a Masters store opening in August which is literally less then a 5 min drive, in all honesty prob about 2-3 mins away.

Bunnies on the other hand is about 25 mins away.

    I am excited )~~~

Masters have taken the best and most important component of Bunnings though, the fund raising sausage sizzle on weekends !!!!

Seriously, I reckon I have one lunch per weekend at the Port Melbourne bunnings. Occasionally the sausage sizzle guys get it wrong by offering unrequired fancies like wholemeal bread options but still good stuff . then i may or may not actually buy something at bunnings....

I get the impression they are trying to live between bunnies and ikea.

I have yet to come anywhere near a Masters store. I guess I will eventually drive past one in the future. Now where did I put my Tarot card.

I have heard that Woolies are opening a MASTERS , close to all big green sheds, I was not impressed with prices , and felt hat they looked like a woolies hardware store with retro-vision add for good luck.

    I am spoilt as i have 3 Bunnings with in 25min and a Masters , plus M10, .

I find that I use BGS , for timber that Masters do not carry, and Tooling, just brought an OZITO 125mm orbital disc sander, not as smooth as the Bosch it replaced , but 3year warranty, and 1/3 the price, .

As the saying goes" HORSES FOR COURSES".
