mattress size to bed size
This is for anyone out there who has ever made a bed. How much bigger than the mattress do you build the bed? If a standard king size mattress is 1850 X 2050, what size should the bed be? i was thinking maybe 50mm :confused:

Bob,
unless there is a special need to locate the mattress, ie. too slippy or violent gymnastics on it, make the base the same size as the mattress, otherwise you will crack your shins everytime you get in or out!

add about 20mm so you've got room for your fingers and the bedclothes when mke the bed
