Welcome aboard LW. I agree - it's a great MB (only just keep a small pinch of salt handy and you'll be OK). I've been on many others MBs and they needed more than an ocean to cope with them. This one is the best by far.

I couldn't agree more. BobL has said it for me.

So what did we help you with and are there pictures?

    cheers

It's great to have experienced people willing to part with such wisdon and knowledge so freely isn't it? I'm sure an apprentice would learn less in a full-time year than I have in a years spare time around these parts.

    Everybody feeling the warm fuzzies?

Aye young fella tis a fine band of woodnuts and woodboobs yer hung yer hat with... nary a bad word said nary a cuss word uttered and god bless em all nary a thread drift to be seen

But some of us do try

Tis a good thing to see so many new young (and ancient) bucks and does wanderin into the foru of late ...keeps some of these old pharts on their toes

    Two peices of advice?

    1) Ask QUESTIONS!! thats what you joined for to get answers! the easiest way is to ask... easy painless and the results are astounding! if not a tad of track from time to time

    2) SHARE what you make... regardless of its success or failure we can all afford the lessons... and the laughter can be theraputic!!

    3) Post anything you learn even if you THINK everyone would know it already... we probably do but assuming we do will mean even if we dont we wont cause you wouldnt... so post it!!... each of us have things we have learnt or can do which others may learn from or hadnt thought of or considered as an option

    4) remember to give offerings and blessings to the great an mighty Neil... try not to ignore the legendary axe weilding ... and many here may seem quite insane (Christopha for one is clearly nuttier than grannies fruitcake that fella! ) but are actually bloody good people and well worth making the effort to meet up with if possible

    5) Always remember to walk the FINE line betwixt drivel an dribble without loosing the plot an being serious all the time... life is for living and theres enough serious crap in life without making it a lifes mission and woodworkin SHOULD be fun and enjoyable

okay so I lied that was 4

Anyway as the more serious woodnut on this thing it was of course left to me to set you straight

    Learning is a lifelong adventure!

    Welcome and enjoy!
