McJing - how good are they?
Has anyone bought stuff online from McJing. I was looking at their site and saw some stuff I would like, if of good quality, at great prices.
I would appreciate hearing of the experiences of others as to the promptness of supply and the quality of the product.
For those who don't know what I am talking about ....

Hi
They were at the Melbourne Woodshow, I have a friend who always makes a bee line for their stall, this year was no exception.
All their stuff is from China or Taiwan, they like to haggle, and always seem very pleasent to deal with.
Probably a bit hard to haggle over the net.
Their prices are not bad I suppose, I've never bought of them.
Cheers, Allan

I've been dealing with them for a couple of years. The first order I placed with them was terrible. They stuffed me around for weeks, several faxes and many phone calls later I cancelled the order (about $1000).
As I was buying for a school, I was short of budget, and wanted some tools, so I gave them another go a few months later. Service had improved considerably.
My last order was for micrometers, verniers, centre drills, a vernier height gauge and more. I expected an "average" height gauge wrapped in plastic. It came boxed with accessories, and was of particularly good quality for my purpose. I would buy one again if I need one for my personal use.
They attend all shows as Allan commented and would suggest that you could "make an acceptable offer" at a show they attend. It would be worth ringing them and asking for their show itenary if you have a few items to buy. The owner is of Indian extraction I think (wears a turban anyhow) and expects to haggle.

Hi Glenn
The turban wearer is not McJing, they were at the show also.
McJing are asian people, Chinese I think.
Both dealers are nice to deal with from what I've seen and heard.
Cheers, Allan

Thanks Allan,
You are correct. My memory is worth 3/5 x 5/8 x fa at the moment.
Regards.

Good Bits - for the money
Robert,
I have bought a few large Router Bits from McJing over the years. In particular, a big Crown Moulding bit and a combination Rail/Stile bit.
I have found both bits to be excellent for my use (Home Hobby) especially given their price. A CMT R/S bit is $159 and the McJing version is only $85!! This bit has made something like 30 small doors and panels and is not showing any signs of wear. And the same goes for the Crown Moulding bit which I have had for about 3 years.
A mate of mine has also bought some of his bits and is also quite happy with them.
List $59
List $85Wayne
