    Default Meat Bandsaw Guides ?

I have been using an old Meat saw as a Bandsaw for my larger logs etc.
Until now I have been replacing the 30mm x 12mm x 12mm mild steel guides which are just screwed to the framework.
    A couple of questions .

A --- Has anyone fitted the normal bearings to a meat saw ?
B --- Are the Ceramic guides worth considering ?

    Cheers

The main reason for the throwaway guides on the meat saw is when it is cleaned with hot water the grease comes out of the bearing, so to retro fit some bearings may be a good idea.
