Default Any melbourne based equivelent to www.hardware.net.au??

I'm just about to try building a few small things, and am going to try out stuff like using eccentric cam connectors and cross dowels etc.

Does anybody know a good place (ie reasonable range and price) to get connectors like that in Melbourne? (even if it is online?) I ask because while Online Hardware, Hardware for School, Hardware for Furniture , Hardware.net.au, Elraco Distributors has everything, and at reasonable price, because it's in SA the minimum shipping fee to Melbourne is $16.50 which isn't so good if you only want a few small things, or even a box of a hundred of them as it can double the price...

    Suggestions anyone??

    Ian

Start by going to your local hardware store. While a small "Mum & Dad" store may not stock them larger stores do. (Big green shed). You may need assistance to find them but in larger stores some of the less experienced staff may not know where to find them. Try looking around draw components and cupboard hinges.

I guess you want something like these products.

Hi Ian, the only other place I have bought from is Wilson & Bradley Kitchen Hardware suppliers-Blum They are more kitchen oriented though.

Personally I just throw in other stuff when ordering from Hardware.net.au or add some stuff for friends etc...

Thanks guys - my local green shed (and masters) didn't have what you had in the pics, so I'll try a different one (which one was the pics at)?

Also, if you just walk into Wilson & Bradley can you buy any of the bits and pieces? Or do you have to order them over the net?

As mentioned in my first reply, they may be hard to find and not all the staff will know where they are.

The images were recorded at Bunnings Oakleigh South.

    Hi Ian
    Ray from hardware.net.au
We are able to reduce freight charges for smaller orders
All you need to to is ask and we will see what we can do
It is not possible on all occasions but we will try

Look forward to hearing from you
