Rated F11, ok for joists @ 450mm centres, need 2 for a single bearer, piers @ 1800mm centres

Excellent timber for all uses

Ive seen merbau beams rated at f27. But 2 laminated together for bearers sounds right.

The timber itself would be suitable but the size may not be! You should refer to Span tables -- for single storey dwellings based on AS 1684--SAA Light Timber Framing Code for the correct timber member size for each span and location, and whether it is a single, multiple or cantilevered span.
