Merbu Decking
Hi, Im new to this so I hope I get it right. I have recencently built a raised deck at the deep end of our swimming pool and have noticed that after a some heavy rain that the pool becomes very dirty. I thought it was just dirty rain, but, i am now wondering that as the deck is actually directily above the pool, could the Merbu be bleeding colour into the water. I have not sealled the deck as yet, and that is another question. What type of sealer should I use and will useing a sealer solve the problem of the pool water turning dirty after it rains. Hope someone can help,
Regards Denco

Merbu is one of the worst for leeching tanin. That is certainly your problem. Not much you can do now.
eventually it wil slow down but it will always stain the pool surounds or water.
Its a pull up job, Sealing under the decking may help some but ive done that and it dont help much.
You could try bleaching the deck with oxalic acid a good number of times and then seal??
SorryIf trees screamed when we cut them down, we wouldnt. But if they screamed all the time , we would.
