Shouldn't that be one "second of longitude" - one minute would be 60 miles I think

    I could be wrong?

BTW is there also a difference between a metric and imperial pancake, apart from the fact that an imperial one wears a crown.

Oh No!.... I just realised, If you built a metric shed then there wouldn't be any offcuts:confused:  What the hell are you going to use as an excuse to "buy the rest of the timber" to match up with offcuts for the next project???

    Sorry...Mea Maxima Culpa

And wont the cows get confused and the curtains fade......Oh...hang on...wrong thread (don't you worry about that by crikey )

Now where was I, ahhh YES! Metric Pancakes well, there is the plain imperial pancake (with crown) which is made with full cream milk or more traditionally ButterMilk

The Metric or avoirdupois Pancake (pronun -Ave ya du par) is made with the poofy low fat milk. Other than that the only difference is the Metric Pancake is cooked in Canola spread, as opposed to butter and should measure 304.800e+0 mm instead of the regulation adult 12 inchers (Dream on Grunt)

There, that should have covered it. If you have more questions on this topic please see the official Metric website here: http://www.ilovemetric.com/news.html

You make a good point there Peter. Doesn't matter what system I use I'll always manage to measure once and bugger something up So I just try and hide it and keep quiet about it ssshhh.

Yeah, I'm with you there Squizzy
Doesn't seem to matter how many times I measure it, I still get it wrong at least once a project and usually lots more than that.
My problem is that I have this gargantuan sized mouth that insists on telling everybody about every mistake I made whilst making something. It really annoys me. I think I'll kill her.

This news interview is odd and mostly ridiculous but I do agree with some arguments about division (3rds, 4ths, 8ths, 12ths, 16ths, etc.)
