    Default my microbevel is off

    i don't have much value to add to the discussion but to confirm that i also experiecend the same problem with microbevel being out of parallel.

    Speaking of the Mk11. I use mine purely for chisels. And i use the Eclipse for plane blades so i can have a gentle curve on the plane blade. So does this mean most don't bother with a slight curve on there plane blades???

    Well Sinjin, there is an accessory for the Mk II due out soon. This is a cambered wheel that replaces the flat wheel. It is the answer to your prayer. I use it most of the time, and only return to the flat wheel when I want to make certain of a flat bevel (eg for shoulder planes or chisels).

    Alf has a great review at the UK forum. Yours truly has added a piece as well.

    Oh, if you want to use the basic Mk II now for cambering a blade, just do it upside-down! A picture is on the review thread.
