    Default Mirror mirror...off the wall

Sorry about the crap title and the slight off topic question.

I was just about to put in a copper foil backed mirror into a frame I made for it, to be horrified that it had a few small scrapes of the mirrored foil missing.

Does anyone know how to fix or touch up small missing sections of a copper foil backed mirror?

    Thanks in advance.

    Raymond.

You may be able to buy copper foil similar to gold foil. You could try the hobby and craft shops.

Dont be too ashamed of the title---I used it some month ago when i posted a picture of a Cheval mirror that I had just finnished. However i thought that copper was electrolytically deposited over the top of silver to stop oxidation. However there is a product called
    "Aquadag" graphite in suspension
    "Silverdag" ditto for silver
and I beleive, though not seen, "Copperdag" These are used in the electonics industry.
Finish is not very smooth, but perhaps with practice, and some more thinning/multi layers, may work
