    Post Mitre Joint

I was wondering, what are the preferred joints for securing a mitre joint in cabinet doors etc.

    Thoughts appreciated

Hi Tony,I have seen mitres done with biscuits which when glueing up require careful checking to maintain your square 90 degrees.
Another method is with a decorative spline on a but rubbed joint which only has an appeal if it is done well.
Then there is the Mitre -lock joint produced with a router which is good because of it's ability to lock the mitre in and easy to assemble.
Then there is the secret mitre which requires a bit of an effort with dovetails produced across 2/3rds the width of the timber.
    Just a few possibilities.
    Cheers
