    Thanks for the hints and the feedback mate. Being new to Melbourne I am slowly learning my way around. As a family who has chosen not to buy a car I need to look where stuff is to see if I can get to it easily during regular and off hours. Thanks for letting me know about the AMRA and I'll look into it.
    Yours sincerely

    Default Getting Power Tooled Up

    OK all;

    I asked this question a while ago but got no definitive answer on it, so, I'll ask in a different way and see what happens.

    Having developed my shopping list of goodies (see previous post):
    1. Is there anywhere in particular that members following this thread would recommend as a source of said tools?
    2. Is there a specific brand of power tool, for the purposes stated that is better than another in your opinion for the price yet gives a quality finish? (I know that the more you pay the better you get but I am a model railroader so I want to make the most of my money if I can.)
    3. Is there a specific person at one of these companies who gives good service that you would recommend me to?

    I'll not hold you to your recommendations, but would like to hear what you think about certain brands of tool, and the shop that you prefer to buy from.
