Moisture Meter
Hi to all,
I have a no brand model SS-1978A Moisture Meter and for some reason it has given up the game in as much as it will no longer give a reading. It looks a simple sort of gadget and has always done the job so to speak in the past but now no go.
Battery is ok and indicator lights are working ok. Does anyone have any history or knowledge on these type of gadgets or should i consign it to the WPB.
Cheers.

If you can disassemble it, check the wiring to the pins/probes.
On mine - not the same as yours - there's just enough 'give' in the plastic casing that repeated use breaks the wires at the solder joint...
It's worth checking and is an easy fix if that's all that's wrong.
