    Question Full Moon Rising....

    Hi All,

I think this weekend's bout of problems may have been caused by the full moon. It couldn't be anything else, really. What do you think?

    • TeeJay had problems with his router and Liquid Glass
    • I ended up with 2 pine boxes with no lids or bottoms to show for a full day's work
    • Skew had issues with a certain box
    • Iain was contending with 'soup'

So who else suffered this weekend just gone due to, a full moon rising?

    cheers
    Wendy

I stamped my traditional ARF on the end of the handle of my brand new HNT spokeshave ... and split the handle!

    Wendy, I did.

I tried to paint the wooden car I have been making for the young fella - ended up with orange peel everywhere and the paint won't dry enough to sand all that crap off. I will have to convince SWMBO that the smelly thing should be allowed in the house to harden.

Tried to work on a little box - forgot to route out the rebate for the base and the dado for the sliding lid before glue-up and had to go out for dinner and only realised what I had done when I started on it the next day (and even tho' paint won't dry, PVA will set too hard to just take it all apart). remember I was the one who said that he did little lists so I didn't overlook these things - I thought this was too simple a project to worry......

The only thing that worked was getting the rust of Dad's files and rasps - thanks Schtoo.

And with all the rain in Sydney, a spring has started up which is dumping water into my garage:mad:

But was it the full moon? Nope - I can stuff things up perfectly well without lunar assistance.
    Cheers

I managed to dribble some epoxy into my deck shoes (whilst wearing them!) when coating the drum for my WiP drum sander.

I didn't notice until several hours later when I wanted to remove the shoes: Eh? ? Oh burger!

Thankfully Melbourne's cold temps at the moment meant that the stuff hadn't fully cured so managed to use some acetone to release tootsies. Mid, I think I'm just going to have to wait to "grow out of" some of the bits of 'poxy, and my favourite deckshoes are cactus

Nothing, just shivered thru the wet weekend and had no inspiration to do anything constructive with my time . . . Now i am back at work and I really want to play in the shed!

I just got down into the shed to find that I don't have the router bit that I need to try to fix the stuff up I made with the box - I was sure that I picked one up, but I must have dreamed that. So now it's time to put an order in with McJing (don't I wish that I had bought a whole heap of bits from them at the WWW show!!!!)
