Hey I'm just starting out and was wondering where I can get wood supply's from in Sydney. I'm not sure what I want to make yet, maybe someone can help point me in the right direction

Depends where you are. Greg Ward (Boutique Timbers) from these forums, Trend near Windsor, Matthews timber at St. Marys are good places to start.
Consider doing a course at your local community college, join a woodwork association, as they often have tools you can use before you spend money.

    Hey Angela, new here too

I've been browsing Gumtree as I'll need some wood soon too.

Not sure whether firewood is good to work with? Maybe someone experienced can comment there?

    Hi Angela and Johnzo,
That pile of fire wood looks promising you will find that you can pick up a stick from ground and produce a spectacular piece or a piece of cra## but until you try often you won't know until you start. The more you try the more you learn.
    Regards Rod.
