Newbie. Questions on where/costs for custom hardwood furniture
Just got a few questions that maybe this board could help me with. I was thinking about getting custom made timber furnitures coz don't really like the mass produced and flimsy stuff being sold. just a few Qs to help me decide.
1) what is the name of the profession/ who do you go to to get custom made furnitures. was looking at things like lowline entertainment units, coffee tables, tall boys, etc. made from hardwood
2) how much would it cost to get someone to make furniture like above. is there a rough calculation I could go by, ie: cost per timber + cost per labour hour.
3) any good recommendations for brisbane

Roy Schack at Woolongabba . Wherever you go, don't expect quality furniture to be cheap. It's better than the mass produced stuff, it'll cost more

That was devious and mean, Alex. Recommending the website of an obviously less talented competitor so that people look at yours.... shame on you!

he he he Alex, thanks for the warm fuzzy stuff, but it's certainly not warranted. Just want to let you know that I'm no longer in the 'gabba, but out in Samford Valley. It was good to see you recently. Hope you are well. Roy.
and my website is www.royschack.com
I asked my web guys to drop the resolution on the portfolio page, to speed up the download, but I think I might get them to increase it again.

You would go to a cabinet maker and it won't be cheap and they all charge different prices
