Default Have I over-oiled my deck?

I recoated my deck 3 days ago, but it still feels a bit tacky underfoot. Have I over-oiled it and if so, what can I do to fix it??

Patience I'd say - even if you have put down too much, it will seep in - better too much than too little.

I did mine yesterday, and it feels like it will take a few days - even after today's near 30 degrees. (And I don't think that I over-oiled mine - probably the opposite )

    Adzeman,

sometimes with oil based paint if you re-coat before previous coat is totally dry then it will stay tacky for donkeys years.

Dunno for sure, but give it a little time

Yep. Very wise... it is much better now after a week.

Happily it was dry before I did it. It's much better now - I've gotta learn to be patient... so do the cats - they were stuck inside for a few days.
    Cheers Sigidi.

I've found the same thing and find it's OK as loing as the coats are pretty thin. I put the third coat on some boards on the weekend and they dried off in a day. It helps being sunny at the time.
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.
