I saw that at the 2012 www show but not this year,I know that it's a great unit but just a bit too dear for me as an occasional user( about $350 i think) heard they went under, may be too costly for us average guys?

well, I can't say much about this specific jig, but i got myself a dowelmax jig, based (again) on an online tool review by Dean Bielowski... I pressed it into service the day I got it, to make 3 side tables and a coffee table, and it worked a treat! Since I actually got paid to do this job, it paid for the jig and I felt that it was worth the cash. Dead-on accurate, simple as, and did what it was supposed to!

I would second the original enthusiastic comments on the ozijig. I've had and used one for many years and have never felt the need to replace it with anything newer. A brief excursion with a biscuit joiner and I went back to the dowels. At the moment, it's in storage like the rest of my tools, but I'm not interested in selling!

I watched the jig for a couple of years and also thought it was expensive for occasional/hobby use. A few years ago, I bit the bullet and bought one (6 & 8mm). I was so impressed, I also bought the angle jig a couple of years later.
A shame if they are no longer available.
Will be using again this week to make a face frame for a cabinet in progress.James,

Make your own

Have to ask the question, why isn't any one making their own version, it would have cost a lot less then buying the original and they are now out of business.

Ozzie multi jig
Just completed three dining chairs with mine - great jig simple and accurate and looks like it will last forever. I bought mine at last year's working with wood show - Des reckoned it was going to be his last show so I guess I got one of the last ones sold. If it's off the market then it's a real shame and I hope it gets picked up and put back in production soon - it won New Inventors award for good reason. Great piece of kit.
