Default Paasche Air Eraser on Woodwork?

    Good Morning...

I searched for ideas on sand blasting, but it appears that the topics discuss larger blasting tools. I have a Paasche air eraser, the size of an air brush, that I use for another hobby. I was wondering if anyone here has used a small blaster like the air eraser on woodwork to for an 'etched' effect and how it worked out. I also want to experiment with it and see what I can come up with.

I've done enough airbrush to wonder if you have the psi behind the abrasive to do much.
But, there's only one way to find out = experiments.
Wood it fibrous and cohesive as you well know. The textures arise as the differences
in the densities of the early wood/late wood in each year's growth ring.
So, most dramatic results in woods with very obvious growth rings, such as conifers
like spruce, pine, cedar and fir (hemlock or Douglas-fir). If you pick something
with less than 20 rings/inch, the effect should be clear.
