Default Panel clamps and hide glue

I've glued up and panel clamped the top on my wife's 1900s cabinet. As I haven't used hide glue nor panel clamps before, the question is, how long do I leave the panel clamps tensioned for?
The glue says to leave clamped for a minimum of 30 minutes and don't stress the joint for 24 hrs.
    Cheers

Regardless of glue types, I generally do my panel glue ups as the last task of the day. Then I'll ponder what time to take the panel out of the glue up the following morning after flavoring some crushed ice.

    Thanks rrich,
I was worried about glue between the cauls and the timber even though I have put a non stick surface on the cauls.
1/2 hour ago I undid and lifted the caul and cleaned the glue off (there certainly was glue there but it was still wet being confined) to I cleaned it off and reclamped.
I'll unclamp it tomorrow morning after tea and crumpets

There is a reason God invented Glad-Wrap.(TM)

I recall one of Woodwould's builds where he extolled the virtues of bench dogs; in his case an actual canine whose sole purpose in life was to clean up hide glue squeeze out. Apparently it really liked the taste...

As for time; the glue up would happen in the afternoon or evening followed by Rex performing his primary function and the clamps would come off the next morning.

One day I'll give hide glues a crack; I wonder if cats will work just as well?

Unclamped this morning. Lovely, flat top. There was a little glue residue under a caul but it cleaned up with very hot water (minimal) and a rag.
