Default Old Paper Backed Veneer- Help or Advice please

I’ve come across some lovely figured veneer, age unknown but probable 20+ years, that has a brown paper backing. I’ve never used such veneer before and wanted some advice on whether it was worth the trouble. Each veneer slice is around 300 wide x 1200 long with 4 sheets across the paper backing in roll form (1200 wide x 1200 wide). Having only ever laid veneer in raw form before I would like some advice on how to go about laying this veneer. Any advice appreciated.

As far as I know, the paper is just there to keep the slices together in a continuous sheet and can be applied the same way as raw veneer. There's some info here about it as well Paperbacked and 2-Ply Veneer Guide
