    Question Parf system etc. rental

Is there such a thing as a rental service for either the Parf system or a router template for drilling the system holes?
Or someone who would kindly assist me with building a modified mft table top

It can be done without any templates or other aids.

It didn't stay around too long though (but I like his technique for getting it all square)

Do you know someone with a 3D printer? There are heaps of models on thingiverse.com for MFT templates.

When I made my full sheet workbench I used the Ron Paulk idea of a torsion box. It has three sheets of MDF in it, hence too heavy to move without mechanical assistance. That said, the 150 thick top is fine for both hand and machine work, and excels at assembly duties. (I made 25 interior doors on it, and 30 window shutters. And cabinets)

I made my bench using my genuine MFT top as a drilling guide. Worked very well. I should probably sell my 20 mm forstner (only used 240 times)

Since I also do mechanical repairs, I keep a sheet of 6mm MDF handy to slap on top…those holes can be vexing when your rare and expensive flux capacitor falls into one and you then can’t go back in time to prevent it.

Further to @GregQ, there are people on Gumtree who sell CNC made MFT tops.

One could buy this for a template

@Wrongwayfirst also is right with https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/185459254377

This last template was discussed in another thread.
