Once upon a time a man went fishing. He used the best bait he could find, but for some reason just didn't get any nibbles...

I guess the fish were too busy tidying their sheds.

    Default My (well dad's) shed

My shed (ok the old mas shed, I just use it) is rather crowded.

I would post a pic, but unfortunately you cant even get a camera in there. I had just cleared a big space for a big project about 6 or 8 months ago - welding up a big sled and rails to mill logs on my big bandsaw - when my step-daughter chose to end her relationship with her violent idiot boyfriend. We are in a three-bedroom house with sufficient furniture to fill it. She comes in with her 4-bedroom houseload of furniture ... Lounge suite, dining suite, extra beds, fridge washing machine and dryer, dishwasher, boxes of carp as far as the eye can see. but its what we do for family

At least we get to spend more time with the grandbaby, and I am gradually making inroads into getting some useable space in the shed, but its not really a photo opportunity.

    Cheers

It's an old one photo ... before nominally a 'cleanup' ... I thought it looked better (worse!) than some of the others.

Not a problem if you want to use the bandsaw
It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

If I said this before then ignore it.

Long ago, my boss-guy in a research lab had a sign on the wall:

"A Creative Mess Is Better Than Idle Tidyness."

If you can find everything, to say the shop is messy is a contradiction in terms, yes?

Just like Doug said. Can't get a camera inside so here's the shot from outside.

I just have to move that over there to get to that, then move that to there to use that and then......forget it.

I do work in there somehow.

Yeah the main bench is a great storage area.

Yes it's another bench but it's for my sharpening station. Probably now have to start a WIP.

Got sick and tired of climbing over all the shyte to sharpen things. The Tormek and the grinder etc are down the back part of the shed.

Since the old man passed away i've scored a few (a lot) of extra tools. One of which was a high speed grinder.

The bench will be about 1.8m long and 600mm wide.

Can mount the Tormek and the high speed grinder on it plus have a sharpening area for wet & dry. Also will have a couple of small vices mount there as well.

Underneath the bench will be the compressor. Just have to work out how high to make the bench so it's easier to use.
