    Good point Graeme, also you need to make the dowels yourself as the ones you buy here at least are totally inconsistent.

    This is why I pointedly didn't watch this when it was offered up to my by YouTube, I knew the tip would be trite or superficial.

    I liked the BAM the best.

    I've been woodworking since late 70s and don't remember ever using dowels. To me they always seemed to be a pre 70s thing that would fail at some point.
