If you are gunna use pine I've had more luck with Construction grade pine than regular pine. Also the pine I bought from Colli's a few years back seemed OK.

These days I'm mostly milling my own or buying from salvage yards.

I have in the past also sourced timber from Colli's. Also found Morgan's Timbers had a good range of species, and they only sell timber. Both are, (or were South, in Bibra Lake). A lot of timber at Bunnies is more like twisties. Best of luck.
