    Herb,
The photos must be less than 100kb so do that first. Then, just under the message box where you type your reply or start a new thread, there's a button with 'Manage Attachments' . Just hit that and follow the prompts to upload the photo.
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

To make the photographs under 100kb go to your imaging software,
resize picture to 400x and no more than 400 height, resolution set to 72 save.

Then use something like adobe elements and save for web at under 100kb.
and then follow the info from Mr. Gumby.

No more help for next few days though we are returning to cricket and you most probably are aware that we are sworn enemies.

Time to resurrect the Cricket thread then......should only be needed for a few days.

An easy way to resize is to email image to yourself, it should resize for you.
When it is in the send folder right click and save to folder of choice then dlete email.
Or do as others suggest, this is just an easy way.

I've a better solution although a bit convoluted to set up.

Bloody easy to use once you have though- go to blogger.com,

and create a blog for yourself. Post the images in the blog using Hello,

then you can include the url of the image in the body of your post.

You don't have to deal with image resizing etc, cause Hello does all that for you automagically.

For resizing your photos there's a handy little program called JpegCompress. Its free, so do a google.

PS> it will also convert a lot of different files to JPEG
