Default Please help to Identify Wood type?

    Hello All,

Greetings from across the pond - this is my first post here and Im from South Africa.

I bought this dressing table on auction for around $55 Aus dollars, and have fixed it up. I would just like to know if anyone is able to identify the type of wood from these pics?

I would think its Oak, but not sure...

    Thanks for any input!

    Duncan

I would say that it is oak. The color and grain pattern are both what I would expect from oak.
