    Default Plywood Furniture Top

Hey, I was watching a woodworking show on the 'How To' channel a while ago and saw someone use plywood as a furniture top.

He cut the plywood into strips about 30mm wide, then glued and stacked each stip on top of each other. He was using thin plywood (around 6mm or something). This created a top 30mm high and how every long and wide he wanted it to be. To finish off he just planed it down till it was smooth.

Has anyone else done something similiar to this, or know about any website I could read up on about this sort of process?

    Thanks

All kitchen tables and tops in my office are made that way. There is really not much to it. I would definitely use a top quality crosscut blade to minimize tear out. Also I would finish it off with a ROS.

    I don’t like it.

The wood log house in Grand Designs used that type of kitchen top. It looked quite good.
