Plywood question
Hi everyone,
I was reading an article in Australian Wood Smith, and the author was talking about using Cherry-Cherry Plywood combination or Maple-Maple Plwood combination. Is it possible to get plwood of diffrent wood in Australia (e.g. Victorian Ash Plywood)?
Cheers

Yes and yes, Vic ash should be relatively easy to find from any ply specialist.
I know a few in Melbourne but can't help with Sydney.

The ply mentioned are certainly "local us items" & probably common over there.
A couple of things to have a look at.
techniply which is poplar is light stable and has good smooth surface character and machines well. Sold by mister ply
Berch is harder heavier and is great stuff and can be had in a variety of surface grades. Look for a supplier that specilaises in scandanavian imports.
Both of the above arent real cheap but they are cheaper than the "fancy" ply stuff.

catchy catchphrase needed here, apply in writing to the above .
