    Default Pocket hole screws

Hi all, will hopefully get to try out my new kreg jr pocket hole jig tomorrow, but i dont have many screws for it...has anyone got any from bunnings that work well with this jig? the only screws i have are countersink screws and bunnings is my only choice of hardware store. Thanks in advance!

I get mine from Carba tec usually only takes a couple of days in the post there is no substitute that I know of for Kreg screws i.e square head yes, self drilling yes ,but not washer faced. They have great holding power.

Avoid using counter sunk type screws eg plasterboard type - you may get away with a few but usually you will drive one home and it will split your pocket hole causing you a major headache.

Using the correct screws is easier and stronger - you have spent the $$ on the Kreg so now get the best use out of it.

Thanks for the replies guys, I've been checking out the cost of these screws from carbatec and screw it, since I don't plan on needing more than 100 in the foreseeable future, the cost of shipping FAR outweighs the cost of a pack of screws! Surely it doesn't cost $12 to send one pack of screws?!
