Polishing pads for 150mm ROS
Hi all,
Lately I have been using some Festool 150mm Rubin 2 polishing pads given to me to try by a Festool Rep. (James Ballantyne).
These are pads which have no dust extraction holes and so are usable on any 150mm ROS with hook and eye attachment systems. They give a beautiful smooth finish to timber which has been oiled and friction sealed. I have used EEE Ultrashine and Trad Wax with excellent results, but I am sure using a poly finish would also benefit. They are available as far as I know in 500,1000,2000 and 4000 grit equivalents and sell for about $4.00 each. They are washable and reusable with no real change in function. They have the advantage of collecting excess slurry while evening out the penetration of the slurry into the timber. (if that makes sense.)
Just a heads up everyone.
Regards,
Rob

Hi DJ,
I got some at Total Tools in Clarendon Street Sth. Melb. And they are actually Platin 2. My apologies.
Regards,
Rob
