a precious gift from down under...
I got a very special gift in the mail today, here in Arkansas, and I am so very honored to own a pen made by one of your wonderful young woodworkers. Thank You, Funky Chicken!
I've posted an entry and photo on my blog in commemoration of this fine gift. I showed my students at Clear Spring School and they are in awe.
I turned 60 last Saturday and it is great to know that as some of us age, and maybe mature a bit, there are young men like Funky Chicken ready to rock.Where neither skill nor craftsmanship are present, can it be called art?

No, not a desk, but something a little smaller that will make shipping easier, oh and you'll be able to carry it with you where ever you go. But if you are anything like me it will probably sit in the shed, get covered in dust many times over and be used nearly everytime you are planning another project.Box Challenge 2011 - Check out the amazing Boxes!

Wendy, Now I am very curious. It is not a desk. That is a relief. After finishing the projects for my rustic furniture book and DVD, I am completely out of room. But if it is useful in the wood shop , I will use it and enjoy it and think of friends from down under as I do so.
Very best,
