    Default H&F prices

Whilst cleaning up in our office, the bride found a hare and Forbes catalogue from 2014, and she kept it and I had a look between it and the current one.
    p200h jointer-2014-$1309, 2021-$1419
OAV P30ce panel saw (the big one)- 2014-$8085,2021-$10,549
    bp630 bandsaw-2014-$3619,2021-$4829.

not as much difference as I thought, and certainly not as much as what I read people are prepared to pay for imported European machines nowadays compared to a few years ago.
    I wonder why?

I don't know if I'm on the right track but my thoughts are:
A bigger mark up in 2014
Current market is a lot more competitive
    Survival in the current market
Buyers are more aware of buying better quality European that lasts longer and more accurate as well
The person who never made a mistake never made anything

    Cheers

I’ve had a bit to do with H&F lately on a project build for their pr mob and they’ve had a bumper year thanks to COVID-19.
They had about 30% more sales and had run out of a lot of stuff.
Locked down Sydney punters will be knocking on their doors again I guess.

Like all imports the exchange rate comes into play regardless of mark up, import duty, shipping and handling prior reaching the store.

Yes H&F reflect the better exchange rates into the prices/specials I remember they had in Sydney just got a container or 3 to find that the day they opened them exchange rate was in Australia's favour.
