Problem
I found these little blighters in some blackwood branches that I have laying around. I am wondering if they are a problem for my stock of cedrella and some other seasoned timber? Also, how to kill them?
Any advice is very much appreciated.

Looks like the witchetty grub, will end up as a large moth.
You could eat them if inclined or hungry. Not sure if the adult would reinfect in the same area. As for killing the grub, I guess a piece of copper wire would be stiff enough yet supple enough to "chase" down a hole to the end and kill the grub.
As to prevention, apart from some sort of fumigation, I'm only guessing.
Perhaps a yarn to the local pest bloke or the old DPI might give you a better idea.

Just use butter in a pan and sprinkle with seasoning then cook on a slow heat till crispy brown, ...Yum!
Since light travels faster than sound,
People appear bright until you hear them speak.

Well that just about covers the killing part of the question Do they like seasoned timber, or only that which still has bark and a little moisture?

Feed them to the magpies.

My experience with them is that they prefer the outer layers of wood, they might veer into heartwood as they get bigger, but then steer away from it.
I have found them in various species, I have had some green LSG (I think) whatever it was it still had the bark on and when I lifted the bark off there was a small hole thru the bark where the moth layed it's eggs, then there were tracks radiating out in all directions which got wider as the grubs got bigger and in this case stuck to the sapwood, once I lifted the bark off I didn't see them anymore.
