    Default Pub Table Top

Nothing very exciting, but just to let you know I'm still getting to the shed a bit. Top is Ambrosia Maple framed with Cherry. All solid timber. Finish is a coat of de-waxed shellac (diluted 3:2) and 4 coats of spray lacquer (first time I fired the sprayer in anger ).
    Cheers,

    Bob

Very nice, Bob. I'm not familiar with ambrosia maple, but it's come up a treat

Looks like it will handle spills with no trouble.

    Hi H.B.,

First of all I love the look of that top, absolutely beautiful. I just wonder, if the whole top is solid timber, is there an issue with expansion of the centre panel within the frame?

Yes, there may be an issue. My approach was to give it a stern look and a good talking to. I've done similar before, and found if I seal it straight away on both sides, having acclimated it to the house before times, I am likely to have good luck. If I take it out on a rainy day, then all bets are off.
    Cheers,

    Bob

Looks great Bob, love the timber. Is that similar to what you are sending me early in the new year?

Also great to see you have a Pub
