Where to Purchase Wood From Wodonga
I am after some timber to turn a bowl. I am currently in Wodonga and need to locate a source of timber.
I do have a backup plan, head to Bunnings and pickup some fence posts to allow me to turn between centers.
I guess this question could have been placed in the timber or turning section but it is more a general question to also find out if there are forum members in Albury or Wodonga and see what they do. We are after all in a very small world.

Christos, Harry from Albury Wodonga Woodcrafters has a very extensive supply of timber. I don't have his number now, but click on the link and try to raise him thru the club.
If you do manage to get thru to him, say hello from me. He is a true Gentleman of the highest order.Pat

Like I said a small world.
Thats where I was this morning. I went to the club house to see what they have and to get a feel of the place. I was allowed to turn a piece of lamented pine but it started to split. We took it off the lathe and it came apart.
I am thinking of returning on Monday but would like to bring my own wood.
Should mention that Monday is not wood turning but furniture making.
