Mate I didn't know they had an online store, but if it's the same place as Norwest Tool Centre on Victoria Rd, Castle Hill then I couldn't reccommend them highly enough. I buy all my power tools from there...
No I don't have shares in them I just live sort-of nearby

That's the one. I'm in tweed heads and the only shop that has it/will get it in quoted me almost $100 more than the norwest price incl delivery. ouch!

Incase anyone is considering online purchases through Norwest Tools I thought I would let you know of my experiences.

I made the purchase a month ago and was informed two weeks ago it was being shipped. I still have not seen my goods and Norwest Tools have not responded to my requests to find out if it has been shipped or when it was shipped.

I am now having to go through the process of disputing the transaction on my Credit Card, which I might add they were quick to take the money with the transaction going through the day after.

Certainly cheaper prices but in future I will gladly pay the extra through a reputable dealer.

Saw rocked up today but without the 1400mm track that is supposed to be with it. I have ussually found internet orders is a seperate part to the store, so go in and you could get great service. That may not be the experience you get online.

I do not mind waiting providing you get told what is happening and communication is kept up. It would be great to be local to a store like that, as they really are the best prices in the country.

Still I do not think I will be repeating the experience, luckily I was in Perth last week and managed to purchase a second track. So if the track for this turns up I should be ahead if not it would have been easier to pay the $150 extra in WA.

    I agree.

I have purchased from Norwest Tools as a walk in client and was very happy with the experience.

Unfortunately walk in service is no indicator of eshop service.

In many cases, I have received great service as a walk in customer (in varied retail sectors) and absolutely poor service from the same companies etail outlet.

Some retailers know how to run a great shop front operation but have no idea how to run an eshop. Same sometimes works in reverse.

This is the only complaint (lack of communication) I have against this store when dealing with them on line.
