Default Good quality linked chain for jewellery boxes

Have consistently lurked & learned so much from this site and I'd like to thank everybody who has contributed

Would appreciate hearing about good sources for good quality brass (true brass or brass plated) linked chain, connector fittings and real brass stays for jewellery boxes

    Best Regards

Lee Valley, they sell the chain and the coupling to attach it to the box. Just bought some the other day. I built a jewelery box out of bloodwood and morado.....should have a pic posted in the next day or two (still waxing right now)

    Cheers

    Thanks for the prompt responses

I have tried the Veneer Inlay chain - they do not supply end fittings and I found it to be a bit weak- the links open up a bit too easily (probably my ham fisted attempt to attach the ends to the box)

The Lee Valley chain is more complete - they supply end fittings but they don't supply conventional linked chain - only a ball & socket style

I know we don't live in an ideal world - always trying for something better - if you don't ask you don't get!

    Best Wishes

I have just received a pair of chains from Lee Valley. Ordered on 7th Dec arrived via airmail on 13th. Good solid linked chain that will never come apart (closed loop). End fittings also solid and I can't see them ever parting with the chain. Screws provided.
