racal respirator battery??
 Hello.I have a RACAL breathe easy (1).The battery pack
(type super CL, part no.007006) is not charging fully and only runs for maybe an hour. Mind you it is an old unit ?1985 according to the instructions!! and I don't know how it's been cared for. Does anyone know if new battery packs would suit it,and is it worth the cost of replacing the battery alone? I don't know that repacking is an option as the unit comes fully encased in thick plastic with no visible joins. Am I living in a dust filled la la land and need to find another $1000+ dollars? I have read the archives here and they have been very helpful.Thank youwine and wood

Not sure what the breathe easy unit looks like, I have a DM4 Dustmaster, bought in 1993. I had the battery pack repacked a few years ago, it too looks like it is enclosed in black plastic, from memory cost about $100 but was a hell of a lot cheaper than a new battery. Carba-tech have the battery listed as POA so it must be expensive.
Cheers
