Raised Panel Door Query
I'm wishing to make some simple raised panel doors, and was wondering if there is a ratio that the width of the stiles and rails need to be in order to make it structurally sound?

It depends on the size of the door, small cabinet or passage doors. I try and get a balance. To me skinny stiles and rails and a big panel look unbalanced. If the doors have a moulded edge, the flat is all you read. The only rule for me.. the bottom rail at least 10mm-15mm wider than the top rail ( on a cabinet ) to visually anchor the bottom.
Cheers, Bill

I always do a stile that is not less than 65, because that allows the use of concealed cabinet hinges and the rail vary from 80 to 100 depending on how I feel when I'm doing it.

thanks guys.
the doors will be roughly 2x.5m and was thinking 3 or 4 concealed hinges per door.
would they work as 19mm with a 6mm ply insert?
